Other quotes

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me". Erma Bombeck

You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life. Albert Camus

Every tomorrow has two handles. We can take hold of it with the handle of anxiety or the handle of faith. Henry Ward Beecher

Wow...your insight inspires me! I love the quotes especially the one by Beecher. Too much of the time I take hold of the handle with anxiety and fear, too little of the time with faith. I find my self crying out to God like Peter when he was sinking, Help Lord, I sink or I cry, Lord, I belive, help my unbelief. It is so hard sometimes to hold on to faith. It is so hard sometimes to really believe everything is going to be ok. God really is in control, and we are not. That is why all of our best laid plans often go awry! I love you much!

Yes God truly is in control. I used to think that God was throwing me a lifeline in the stormy ocean when I called out to Him, now I understand that his hand was lifting me out as I called because he ordained it and that faith is the substance of things hoped for. The substance. His death, burial and resurrection are irreversable and He is the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. He also knows the very hairs on our head.

Just browsing thru.

Grace upon grace,
